Iterating 2

I’ve chosen to develop further questions 1&3 raised last week.

I chose to explore these questions by creating a book in 3D software using RizomUV. Because

In UV mapping, the book flipped to the first page is not the same book as the one flipped to the second page, because they don’t use the same model.

If I want to use only one UV map to wrap around a book (because if I use only one UV map, as a 2d representation of the book, that map is the book itself), then the book must be a whole (rather than having many pages that can be turned).

Left: A book flipped to the first page
Middle: A book flipped to the middle
Right: A book flipped to the last page

So I try to iterate a book into 100 versions based on the process of flipping through it.

Firstly, I bound a book with 100 pages via C4D.
Then I created an animation of flipping through the book.
With each page flip, I pause, save the corresponding model, remove the intermediate pages, and weld the entire book into a whole.
I used RizomUV to process the structure of these models into their UV maps. (If no other images are imported, and only RizomUV is used as the layout tool, it will export grids of these models)
Top: Model
Middle: UV map
Bottom: Applying the UV map to the Model

Finally, I gave these UV maps as patterns to each model.

They are not the same book, but a hundred books next to each other. 10/100 versions of an instantaneous sculpture.
