I choose RizomUV as my tool to make the UV map.

The project I chose is Weiyi Li’s CAIRN.
In this work, 3D technology restores only the surface of the stone, technology misinterprets the matter and the stone is hollowed out.

Then I tried the first UV unwrapping plugin, FD UVToolkit.
For irregular objects, UV unwrapping needs to find one or more lines that divide the shape, and then breaking it down into several planes.

Unfortunately, sometimes the UV maps have been disassembled is still unevenly distributed.
So I tried the second UV map plugin, RizomUV. Smoothly, I disassembled the first stone into five sides along the line.

By taking lots of photos for each face, I obtained their images to put into the grid, and continuously adjusted it.
Then I made another stone in the same steps.
